Ruidi Yang is a multidisciplinary designer and artist specializing in scenic and interior architecture. Drawn to the interplay of space, narrative, and audience experience, she seeks to integrate contemporary and innovative methods and theories into her work. Ruidi received her BFA in Interior Design with highest honors from Pratt Institute and is currently pursuing an MFA in Scenic Design at Carnegie Mellon University’s School of Drama. Her thesis, Performative Pavilion, was featured in Dezeen’s School Shows 2024 and presents a conceptual design proposal for the waterfront redevelopment of Pier 76 in Hudson River Park, exploring how performative perspectives can be embedded into everyday public life.
